A message from the Awards Chair
Julie Boyd FAIM
Chair, MEA Committee of the Board
Nominations and applications are now open for the Australian Institute of Management 2012 Management Excellence Awards, seeking Queensland's and the Northern Territory's best managers and leaders from business, government and industry.
The search for Queensland's and the Northern Territory's best management talent is built upon nominations - a 'tap on the shoulder' from a co-worker, friend or peer for a manager who has made an impression.
Nominating is the perfect opportunity to honour an inspirational, passionate and talented manager.
For many people, the thrill of receiving a nomination in such a prestigious Awards program is, in and of itself, a memorable career milestone.
Exceptional leaders from every industry and sector and at all career stages are represented in the Management Excellence Awards program. We find that once nominated, many managers want to participate because the process provides in-depth self appraisal and affirmation of their successes.
After an individual has been nominated, they are required to submit an application. The application encourages participants to take stock of their career, to reflect with honesty and humility on where they have been, and how they got to where they are now.
From the applicants who have put themselves 'out there' a short listing process is undertaken. Category finalists are interviewed by a panel of business leaders and senior executives who lend credibility and strength to the process.
The category winners are selected by the State's best and most senior leaders who give their time and experience to interview the finalists at both a regional and State level.
Nominate or Apply now - it's free and takes only a couple of minutes.
