About the AIM Excellence Awards
The Australian Institute of Management Excellence Awards have been recognising inspirational, passionate and talented managers across Queensland and the Northern Territory for over 20 years.
With the formation of the AIM Group 2014 will see the awards on a National scale for the first time ever. Applicants will be welcomed from Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Northern Territory, South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria to join their Queensland counterparts on a National celebration of Managerial Excellence.
The search for the most outstanding management talent is built upon nominations - a 'tap on the shoulder' from a co-worker, friend or peer for a manager who has made an impression.
Nominations and applications for the 2014 AIM Excellence Awards are now open and we are seeking Australia's best managers and leaders from business, government and industry.
The Awards are contested in each of the following Regions and States:
- Australian Capital Territory
- New South Wales
- Northern Territory
- South Australia
- Gold Coast
- Sunshine Coast
The categories are:
The Awards process brings a wide range of business leaders and professionals together as finalists, judges, sponsors and supporters, offering participants a fantastic opportunity to connect with like-minded industry professionals and expand their networks. Exceptional leaders at all career stages from every industry and sector are represented in the Awards program.
After an individual has been nominated, they are required to submit an application. The application process encourages participants to consider their career journey thus far. To reflect with honesty and humility on where they have been and how they got to where they are now.
Being involved in the Awards provides the nominee with an in-depth self-appraisal, affirmation of their successes and an increased public profile.
Applicants are short-listed and category finalists are interviewed by a panel of business leaders and senior executives who lend credibility and strength to the process. The category winners are selected by the State and Territory's best and most senior leaders who give their time and experience to interview the finalists.
Involvement in the Awards is completely free of charge for all participants. The objective of the Awards program is simply to recognise the achievements of some of Australia’s best and most inspiring managers and leaders.
