CategoriesFisher and Paykel Medal for Management Innovation"Innovation is the specific instrument of entrepreneurship
. the act that endows resources with a new capacity to create wealth." The Fisher and Paykel Medal for Management Innovation in Queensland was introduced in order to highlight the business and human significance of innovation (both now and in the future) to the ongoing prosperity of this State and nation. This medal celebrates the innovations of dynamic, pivotal and senior leaders in our business community - individuals whose names are now (or soon will be) synonymous with business innovation. Business innovation is not about research and development or new technology. Instead, it is about working smarter, faster and better than the competition in a global market. Indeed, true innovation is new, brave, edgy, and different; leading to a position of market dominance or differentiation. This Medal, therefore, is not for a new or innovative product, but rather recognises an individual who has developed a concept or practice that significantly, and offensively improves the business in which they work. This may include (but is not limited to) the following:
Medal recipients will include senior managers who lead private or public sector organisations, or who are lead their own companies. Click here to view the previous Medal for Innovation winners. This award is by invitation only. Nominations do not apply. However, should you like to bring the achievements of an individual to the attention of the AIM Board please email managementawards@aimqld.com.au.
