Rural/Remote Manager of the Year

This category is for rural/remote managers who live and work at least 100 kms from the Adelaide GPO. These managers will lead an organisation or major business unit in a professional capacity or own and operate their own business that employs more than five people.

Nominees for this category include owner managers of extensive properties, professional managers working in primary and mining industries, managing directors in tourism, and young, innovative managers who are operating or leading businesses remotely. Applicants must be in their current role for at least 12 months.

Nominees must meet the criteria listed below.

Nominees must be able to demonstrate:

(a) The ability to manage complex tasks, people ,processes and the macro environment

(b) Recognition by their organisation or key stakeholders as showing excellence in management and leadership

(c) Effective communication of their organisation's goals and vision to all stakeholders

(d) A commitment to mentoring or other leadership activities
