Young Manager of the Year
This category is for young managers who lead an organisation or
major business unit in a professional capacity or own and operate
their own business that employs more than five people. They must be in their current role for at least 12 months.
Young Manager is defined as being between the ages of 18 and 30 years.
This award recognises managers who, though young, have achieved
management excellence.
Nominees must be able to demonstrate:
(a) The ability to manage complex tasks, people, processes and the macro-environment
(b) Recognition by their organisation or key stakeholders as showing excellence in management
and leadership
(c) Effective communication of their organisation's goals and vision
to all stakeholders
(d) A commitment to mentoring or other leadership activities
(e) Demonstrated performance to budget
