This cocktail evening was sponsored by long-standing partner Griffith University and highlighted the beginning of a state-wide search for Queensland's best managers in the categories of Professional Manager, Owner Manager, Young Manager and Rural/Remote Manager.

On the verandas of the recently renovated Ship Inn at Griffith University's South Bank Campus past winners, judges, sponsors, senior executives and industry leaders formed an impressive awards alumni.

The Management Excellence Awards are a vital part of the management and business landscape in this state, said Executive Manager, Ms Lana de Kort. Having so many senior, busy people take time to be part of the state launch is a strong testament to the strategic importance of these awards to business in Queensland.

This event marks the beginning of the 2005 search for Queenslands best managers. Now, on the ground in Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, Cairns and Townsville similar launches are being held. [check out the Calendar for the launch event near you]
