Wednesday 12 July 2006 Record Nominations for Management Awards in MackayMackay’s best managers have enthusiastically embraced this year’s Management Excellence Awards with record nominations recorded in the region. “The level of interest and support we have received in Mackay has been fantastic” said Philip Clift FAIM, Chair of the local AIM Committee. “The record numbers of nominations this year combined with an outstanding calibre of managers is a further sign of how much people value the work of a great manager” The Management Excellence Awards are designed to acknowledge the efforts of some of the best managers and leaders on the cutting edge of their field. The Management Excellence Awards continues to be one of the few awards program celebrating contributions by individual managers to the success of their businesses. “As the premium showcase of this and other region’s most talented managers, our Management Excellence Awards enjoy the unqualified support and enthusiasm of the Queensland business community,” Professor Clift said. Regional winners will compete for the State titles across the four categories of Professional, Young, Rural/Remote and Owner Manager of the Year. In addition to category winners the AIM Board will award the Fisher & Paykel Medal for Management Innovation to a business leader who has demonstrated world class innovation within their industry.
