The winners of the 2004 Management Excellence Awards Cairns region were announced on Tuesday 7 September, at a sold-out lunch at the Sofitel Reef Casino.

Guests were treated to a special presentation from Max Walker, one of Australia's most successful sportsmen, authors and media personalities. Max had guests rolling around with laughter, as he re-told stories from his sporting commentary days.
